I have umm'ed and ahh'ed about this post for a good while. At first, it was hard to write. Anybody who knows me, knows that a few years ago I experienced a very difficult time in my life. A time that left me with a multitude of insecurities and fears that I work on overcoming every single day.

In truth, this is one of my biggest fears.

The reason that it was difficult to write this post at first was simply because of that. Fear. It took quite some time for me to realise that in the midst of all my unpleasant emotions and fretting over the things in my mind, something beautiful was happening.

Having said that, Jesse and I would like to announce our next adventure;

Now that it has reached the point where it is almost impossible to hide anymore (I wasn't just eating three hefty meals a day, I promise!), it is a pleasure to inform you that Baby Jordan is due in September!

Hiding the little one from all of the honeymoon pictures was almost impossible, and I was yelling at JJ not to post so many of them in order to keep Baby J a secret for a little while longer!

I wanted to be able to announce it in my own special way, via my blog, all whilst leaving my husband fit to burst with his need to tell everyone that he was going to be a Daddy for the first time!

The first few months of this pregnancy has been one of the hardest, but one of the most incredible journeys that I have experienced and learned from.

This baby was not planned, in fact it was a total oopsie. So much so that it was difficult for me to take in at first. I cried and cried, because another baby wasn't a part of my plan. Having Lucia almost eight years ago was something increasingly difficult to get over, and I had told myself, Jesse, and everybody else that I never wanted another baby. And yet, after talking about what was upsetting me, sharing my fears and insecurities with my husband, it eventually hit me. I wanted this baby just as much as he did. It had taken me a while to realise it, but I was totally and utterly in love with the little person that was half me, and half Jesse, and all mine to nuture and care for.

I've always been brought up to be religious and believe in a god. My father is a Catholic Italian man who always made us go to church as kids and read us bible verses. Therefore, I believe that god has a plan. He knows what we need more than anyone, and he knew that I needed this little one to overcome my fears. The little human in my belly is going to bring me the happiness that I have been missing over the years, filling the hole in my heart that was created by my dark times. My little saviour.
